S3D Cloud Slicer

Here I am back again trying to get a custom print profile to print.
To be clear, the changes are minute, like adding a purge line at the start of the print.
I use Marlin firmware on a custom I3 clone, which uses the E3D Titan extruder.

The profile is proven to work under Cura 3 external slicer, and S3D as an external slicer.

I need the cloud slicer to work, as I am often not at home to get a print going.

The Slicer 3, ie Simplify3D cloud slicer provided by 3DPrinter OS, extrudes half the amount of plastic, even though the filament diameter set is 1.75, and print extrusion is at 100%.

I had reported this as a bug over 6 months ago, and it appears to have not been fixed.

Any ideas of how to fudge the Slicer 3 cloud slicer, so that it works properly?

The default slicer is terrible with print quality, the Slicer 2 can’t do Rafts properly, which leaves the Slicer 3 with under extrudes.

Hello. Do you have a correct nozzle diameter selected in Slicer 3?

Yes, correct nozzle diameter is set correctly.
0.4mm nozzle
1.75mm PLA
3DprinterOS plugin for OctoPrint.

Did a print this evening with the exact same settings for Cura 3.4 and printed directly from OctoPrint, came out excellent.

3DprinterOS plugin for OctoPrint.

What do you mean by that? 3DPrinterOS plugin for OctoPrint is supporting only Robo3D R2 and Robo3D C2 printers. For other printers you need to use 3DPrinterOS Client (https://cloud.3dprinteros.com/download/)

Could you send gcode file from Cura 3.4 and file id of gcode file in 3DPrinterOS cloud? Then we can try to find out what differs and what is wrong. You can send files to my email m.kozlov@3dprinteros.com

The plugin also supports Generic Marlin firmware machines, and this is what it is set up as.
It wasn’t as straightforward as it should have been.

I’ll send the files later today

What plugin do you mean? Did you get it from https://cloud.3dprinteros.com/download/#cloud-plugins -> OTHER PLUGINS -> Plugin for Octoprint?

Octoprint is working with Marlin printers, but 3DPrinteros Plugin for Octoprint was created only for Robo3D Printers and was tested with them.

Yes, that site.

The plugin works for Marlin and OctoPrint, as it is just a gcode serilizer.

To be clear, again, the issue is not with the OctoPrint plugin, but the Slicer 3, cloud slicer creating under extruding gcode.

For anyone reading this and is also having issues.

3DprinterOS have confirmed it as a bug, however an interim workaround is to set the filament diameter to 1.750001
