Raspberry Pi printer goes off line

My Raspberry Pi (B+ v1.2) connected printer keeps going off line in the printer’s list, local everything looks great.
Is there a way other that multiple rebooting PI and printer to get the printer to reconnect?

Did you update your PI image to the latest one?
I’ll forward your issue to the developers.

How do I check the version ? On the Pi and on this site? The image I was emailed was on 2/5/16 and the image name had 5.9.3 in the name.

That is the latest one. You can check the version from the client.

From the Pi I can see the webpage at www.3dprinteros.com so I know there is some connectivity between me and the mothership.
Is there a service I can restart on the Pi to try to make the Pi reinitialize the lost connection? or is there some thing from the main webpage that would try to re-contact the Pi?
(fyi I have already tried several times “making offline printer inactive” and then “Unhide printer”)

and the printer seem to be seen by the OS:

Thank you for the throughout overview, we are working on it!

do you know if I can restart certain services to try to get things working? Or is rebooting the best choice, AND is there a preferred order of rebooting?
A. turn off everything, boot Pi, wait, boot Printer.
B. reboot PI (leave printer on).
C. turn off everything boot printers, boot Pi.
is there a way that would provide the best chance of success?
